Italy
One of the most mesmerising cities in the
world, a place you can visit over and over and never tire. Whether
it’s your first visit or your fifth it’s time to book a cheap
flight to Rome! If it’s your inaugural visit to
the Italian capital it’s worth planning how you’re going to fill
your days. There is so much to see and do, it’s worth focusing on
the regions of the city you’re interested in and discovering what’s
on offer. To the north of the river you will find Castle
Sant’Angelo, the first of many sights recognisable from the Tom
Hanks film, Angels and Demons. To the west you will find the
Vatican City, home to the Sistine chapel, impressive Vatican
museums and St Peter’s Basilica. Head back over the river and make
your way through the sites including, the Campo de’Fiori, Piazza
Navona, Pantheon, Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. Further south
you’ll find the Roman Forum and the Coliseum, the latter is cited
by some as being one the wonders of the modern world. This is just
a small selection of the many places to see in Rome.
It’s not just the historical sights of
Rome that make it worth taking a flight. The food,
drink and general ambience make it a place to remember. The many
squares across the city are a great place to sit and people watch.
Peruse the menus of the restaurants that fill the back streets and
decide where you’d like to sample some traditional Italian
fayre.
We offer cheap flights to Rome
four times a week from Birmingham airport.
